Metal Single Crystals

MCO only use the purest starting materials available (usually 5N or better). Please see the drop down list on the home page for more specific information.

Our in house growth techniques are as follows;

• Czochralski – Specially designed and built automated growth system which was introduced towards the end of 2004.
• Bridgeman – Large diameter Aluminium and Copper crystals.
• Float Zone – A specially designed system for Chromium crystals.
• Electron Beam – High quality refractories.
• Cold Crucible – Very high purity hydrogen reduced materials.

We use SMD Spark erosion machines to cut and finish all of our crystals. The SMD machines are very low damage ensuring crystal quality. We have a large stock list of products available from the shelf.
